Every year, JFK, Newark, LaGuardia, and Stewart airports serve tens of millions of travelers. What does it take to build a digital experience that supports them along the way? A well-structured site that clearly presents real-time data, a robust design system and CMS that teams can keep up with, and novel features that provide personalized support for all types of users.
As one of two core designers on a cross-functional team, I contributed to the development of a multi-brand design system, over 20 custom AEM components, and functional tools for tasks like like finding flights and checking wait times. I also drove the design of two flagship features: an AI-driven conversational interface and a planning tool for the airport experience.
